We have a WONDERFUL announcement!

Today Alan was officially taken off of his medication! Which means that in two weeks he can come off of his monitor! This is such a blessing for us. I think for both Matt and me, we can finally feel like parents and not so much like his nurses. I know this sounds rather odd but we are just so excited to have a "normal" baby now. No more trying to force his disgusting caffiene down his throat. No more taking his monitor band off to put neosporin on his blisters under his arms. Hopefully in two weeks no more running into his bedroom because Alan's monitor band shifted and set off his alarm. I know that once he is off his monitor I will be a nervous wreck for the first few nights but I can deal with that.

Here is Alan in his big boy chair looking at one of his Baby Einstein books from "Aunt" Erinn and Julia! :)

Sporting our new outfit that Daddy got! Shame that he threw up all over it and Daddy couldn't see him in it. :(

Helping Mommy make brownies for Mr. Gavin and Miss Lesley. Yes he does look like he wants to dive right in and have some!

He is all ready to help...just don't take the chocolate from me! I want my chocolate! :)

Another great thing that has happened, Matt has taken his first two tests in Power School and received a 3.70 and 3.82 on them! He is currently third in his section for overall GPA. I am so very proud of him! Even if it means that I only get two seconds to talk to him each day. :)

Oh and on Monday we are going to have a really exciting day! Alan and I are going to have lunch and go to the outlet mall with Tina and her son Brayden. I met Tina on the Knot's Military Brides board and I actually knew her hubby when I was in the Navy. Our ceiling is getting fixed by people that ACTUALLY know what they are doing and our bathtub is also getting fixed. The caulking in our tub was cracking and water was leaking through it and getting under the tiles. Yes I know that tiled showers suck horribly. But they tried to come out and fix it earlier but that totally didn't work so they pulled all the old caulk out and are going to let it dry over the weekend. Then they will come and fix it on Monday. So it is a good thing that we are going out for lunch because Alan can't be in the apartment while they are working on everything.

Here is what our ceiling looks like. The dark area is the new water leak and the rectangle area that is a slightly darker shade is where they fixed it last week. All of that is coming out on Monday!

So that is all the excitement we have had in the last few hours. Today really was a rollercoaster of emotions. Matt and I are going to hang out on the couch now and decompress from the day.
